Dr Arshad Mahmood is the Principal Dentist and Clinical Director of Spencer Road Dental Surgery & Implant Centre. With over 20 years of clinical experience and an extensive background in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has dedicated his career to advanced implant, restorative and digital dentistry. Following his hospital training, he completed a Master’s degree in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry at King’s College London and has continued to undertake advanced postgraduate education with internationally recognised implant clinicians.
Dr Mahmood has a special interest in complex implant rehabilitation, including immediate implant placement, immediate loading, full-arch implant reconstruction, bone grafting, sinus augmentation and the management of challenging cases. His aim is to provide patients with predictable, minimally invasive treatment using the latest evidence-based techniques, helping restore both function and confidence while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
A passionate advocate of digital dentistry, Dr Mahmood has developed a fully digital implant workflow that integrates high-resolution CBCT imaging, intra-oral scanning, photogrammetry, computer-guided implant surgery, CAD/CAM technology, 3D printing and digital smile design. These technologies enable highly accurate diagnosis, meticulous treatment planning and exceptional precision throughout every stage of implant treatment, resulting in improved comfort, efficiency and long-term outcomes.
Committed to continual professional development, Dr Mahmood has completed advanced implant training with internationally renowned clinicians and has a particular interest in the TRI® Dental Implants digital ecosystem, including tissue-preserving implant designs, abutment-free restorative concepts, immediate loading protocols and comprehensive digital workflows. He continually invests in the latest technology and techniques to ensure his patients benefit from modern, predictable and minimally invasive implant care.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Mahmood is passionate about implant education and mentoring. He enjoys teaching and supporting dentists in modern digital implant workflows, including CBCT treatment planning, guided surgery, intra-oral scanning, photogrammetry, full-arch rehabilitation and immediate loading techniques. He believes that sharing knowledge and embracing innovation are essential to raising standards within implant dentistry and improving patient outcomes.
